Types of Imagery Available: 

Aerial photography can be grouped into three main categories:

  • Low Angle Oblique - Mostly vertical camera angle.  The horizon is not shown
  • High Angle Oblique - Mostly horizontal camera angle.  The horizon is sometimes shown 
  • Vertical - Camera points straight down.


Low Angle Oblique Imagery:

Low angle oblique photography is extremely useful for focusing in on a single property or target.  This type of photography is excellent for showing the layout of a residence on a lot.  A potential customer can instantly see architectural details that are not apparent in photos taken from the ground.

High Angle Oblique Imagery:

High angle oblique photography generally offers more of a perspective of the target property AND its surroundings.  High angle oblique photography can be used to show a property's position in a neighborhood, or just how close it is to the 9th fairway.  Large properties can benefit from high angle photography since it can make them seem less imposing and more integrated into their surroundings.

High angle photography also allows for more artistic images, if shadows and haze are used effectively.  Blue Earth Imaging's creative and experienced photographers can help you achieve the perfect composition.

Vertical Imagery:

 

Vertical imagery is typically used in map making, but can also be used in marketing applications.  Vertical imagery shows exactly how a property is laid out.  It is useful for marketing properties that may not have anything build on them yet.

The imagery looks very similar to what you might see in an Internet mapping application, such as Google Maps. but with the following advantages:

Up to date - Typically free Internet mapping imagery is at least 18 months old.

High Resolution - Blue Earth Imaging can offer resolutions more than 10X better than the best satellite imagery

Customizeable - We fly when you want, so you can make your property look its best.
